About Me

Welcome to Walk This Way, and thank you for choosing us.

I have always been an avid animal lover from the time I could walk. I would love to share my passion, experience, and dedication with all of your pets. I moved from Connecticut 19 years ago seeking warmer weather. I grew up with dogs, cats, and horses. Pets were always a big part of my family. Dreaming of working with animals full-time, I left a successful career of 32 years to start Walk This Way Pet Services in the greater Sarasota/Lakewood Ranch area in 2016. I also volunteer with several rescues.

Our dog, Maisy, was the beloved mascot for Walk This Way. She was adopted from American Bullmastiff Rescue and lived 12.5 wonderful years. She is missed dearly. Our dog Ludo is also from a rescue and is now 12. In 2024, we adopted a Dogue de Bordeaux from a rescue and named her Georgia—she is truly a sweetheart.

For the convenience of our clients, Walk This Way Pet Services uses software specifically designed for pet sitters. We will email you to log in to the client portal, where you will be able to:

  • Add and update your and your pet(s) information.
  • Request services
  • View and make payments directly from the Client App or Client Portal
  • Get real-time updates, pictures, and a report after each visit
  • Receive updates on each visit along with a few photos.
